Heritage Heights In North Central Phoenix

Heritage Heights And The Phoenix Mountains Preserve

Tucked away in a small quadrangle east of Interstate 51, just north of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve and west of 32nd street is Heritage Heights one of the most unique communities in North Central Phoenix.

Heritage Heights is one of those small hidden communities off the beaten path and even off the path of most real estate agents. Heritage Heights is a community of several hundred, quality built, single story ranch style homes.

Most of the homes in Heritage Heights were built in the shadow of Squaw Peak, (now Piestewa Peak), during the early 70’s by Golden Heritage Homes. At that time the I-51 parkway didn’t exist and the only access to the area was the original Dreamy Draw Drive.

Today Heritage Heights is still secluded and quiet but less than a mile from Interstate 51 and literally minutes from downtown Phoenix or North Scottsdale. Paradise Valley Mall is less than 10 minutes away as are many of the best restaurants in North Phoenix.

Heritage Heights backs to the Phoenix Mountains Preserve home to hundreds of species of wildlife and botanicals. After a rain filled winter, spring carpets the preserve in wildflowers. If you enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle of hiking and mountain biking then Heritage Heights is the perfect community for you.

The Phoenix Mountains Preserve boasts 11 hiking trails, within walking distance of Heritage Heights, from less than 1/2 mile in length to more than 10 miles and ranging in intensity from easy to moderate to difficult with 10 of the trails available for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking with your pet.

If golf is your game there are several local courses to choose from:

Stonecreek Golf Club a links style golf course offering championship golf, a public driving range as well as a spacious short game practice area.

Orange Tree Golf Club an exceptionally conditioned, traditionally designed resort course that will challenge players of all skill levels. A full driving range, two putting greens & two short game areas are on property.

Arizona Biltmore Golf Club has a rich history and is home to two of Arizona’s most famous courses.

Heritage Heights is a well established neighborhood with a Home Owners Association, a large community center that includes swimming pools and tennis courts. The landscaping and common areas are lush and mature and the homes are well maintained. There is a tremendous feeling of neighborhood pride. Homes come on the market infrequently and sell quickly.
